Examiner of Title Trainees

The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) is an independent, not-for-profit corporation and has responsibility for managing, operating and maintaining British Columbia's land title and survey systems. The principle function of the Land Title Division is to interpret and administer the Land Title Act and other statutes relevant to ownership of land and to ensure reliability and security of title.
Working as a part of a team in a demanding and fast paced environment, the Examiner of Title Trainee will progress through a prescribed graduated training plan to achieve competency as an Examiner of Title. During the training period, the Trainee may carry out a variety of clerical duties, such as answering enquiries from clients regarding Land Title services and requirements and producing various legal documents and certificates.
The qualifications the successful candidate will bring include:
- Grade 12 plus a minimum of three years of clerical or office administration experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- Experience producing detailed documents requiring a high degree of accuracy;
- Experience providing/obtaining information and responding to enquiries from the public; and
- Proficient in working with computer applications and databases (e.g. MS Word, Excel).
