The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) announced today at the Association of BC Land Surveyors Annual General Meeting in Vancouver that it has launched a modernized land title search and document retrieval system available through BC OnLine. The updated system reflects a modernized web site design and improved customer-usability standards.
The new title search and document retrieval system replaces one that was built over 20 years ago, and is similar in appearance to the LTSA's Electronic Filing System (EFS). LTSA's title search and document retrieval system and EFS are offered through BC OnLine at www.bconline.gov.bc.ca.
"Our new title search and document retrieval system, in addition to the recent increase in transactions available through EFS, demonstrates our responsiveness to the users of our land title and survey systems," commented Godfrey Archbold, President and CEO of the LTSA. "Our title search and document retrieval system provides a streamlined user experience that is easier for customers to use and creates a base for adding new functionality, products and services."
The LTSA has been piloting the new title search and document retrieval system since last fall and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The LTSA and BC OnLine will work with users to ensure that their transition to the improved system is successful. Once this has been achieved, the LTSA will phase out the old system in a timely manner.
In addition to providing support for users of the new title search system, EFS training and support is available at no charge by calling BC OnLine at 800-663-6102 or 250-953-8200. More information on EFS is available at www.ltsa.ca/efs.
