Title Direct
Title Direct is a service offered to qualified external clients by the LTSA in association with BC OnLine. The Title Direct service provides a system-to-system interface for external access to title, common property, pending application and parcel information. The returned data is provided in a "human readable" format and in XML format with data identifier tags.
Obtaining Access to Title Direct
1. Parties wishing to use Title Direct must request access from the LTSA via email to EFS@LTSA.ca and provide a brief statement confirming:
- They have an active BC OnLine account or will acquire one.
- The nature of the business requiring LTSA information.
- Search and retrieval transaction volumes.
- Whether this information is accessed by the party for internal purposes only or directly accessed online by third parties (e.g., party's customers).
2. If the LTSA determines that this party requires access to Title Direct, the LTSA will provide documentation and a contract to the requesting party within five business days of their request. If the LTSA does not determine that it is appropriate for this party to access Title Direct, the party will be notified within five business days of their request.
3. The LTSA will grant the party access to the Title Direct test environment within five business days after the party provides the following information:
- IP Address (e.g.,192.168.0.2)
- DNS name (e.g., foo.host.ca)
- System Description (e.g., Company Name Test Server)
- Contact Name (e.g., John Doe)
- Contact Phone
- Contact Email
4. After the party has completed testing, signed the Title Direct contract and provided connection information to their production server (see #3 above), the LTSA will grant the party access to the production environment.
Title Direct Change Notices
1. The LTSA will publish Title Direct Release and Change information on the LTSA website.
- Planned upcoming releases and changes will be posted on the website at least 10 business days prior to the release.
- Emergency releases will be performed as needed and posted to the website no more than one business day after the release.

2. The LTSA will notify users of upcoming and emergency releases via email prior to making the change.
- Users may sign up for email notices by sending an email to EFS@LTSA.ca with Title Direct Notices in the subject line.
Availability
Title Direct availability (hours of access) are the same as BC OnLine.
Support
1. Technical support is available between 8AM and 5PM by calling 250-952-5068.
2. Issues, bugs, changes and feature requests regarding Title Direct should be sent via email to EFS@LTSA.ca.
3. Issues deemed critical by the LTSA will be fixed as quickly as possible and in the same manner as the Search and Retrieval web application available on BC OnLine.
