The Land Title and Survey Authority's (Authority) three-year Business Plan for 2007/08-2009/10 focuses on business and operational priorities in support of top-quality customer service and products for users of the land title and survey systems in British Columbia.

The Business Plan flows from the Authority's strategic direction to instill confidence and maintain the integrity of the Province's land title and surveys systems. Publication of the Business Plan is an important part of the Authority's public accountability and fulfills the legislative obligation to make the plan available publicly prior to the start of each new fiscal year (April 1).

The Business Plan outlines the initiatives and operational tactics the Authority will use to achieve its strategic objectives and priorities. The 2007/08-2009/10 Business Plan builds upon the Authority's successful first full year of operation, where performance targets were exceeded and sound financial results were reported.

Meeting service timelines will continue to be a high priority and the Authority will further enhance its technology to support electronic filing to save time and reduce costs for clients. A business review to be completed in 2007 will guide the Authority in the development of new products and service improvements.

The Business Plan has been approved by the Authority's Board of Directors and is supported by the Land Title and Survey Authority's (LTSA) Stakeholder Advisory Committee. The plan will be updated annually.

The Authority annually completes approximately one million title transactions, 10,000
private land survey plan registrations, 2,000 Crown land survey approvals, and 400 Crown grants.
