Cadastre Version 3.0.3
New Version 3.0.3 of Online Cadastre Launched November 07, 2007
The Surveyor General Division is pleased to announce the launch of the new version 3.0.3 of the Online Cadastre application. A comprehensive tutorial and overview of the tools and functions can be accessed from the top toolbar of the application. The tutorial provides a quick overview and explanation for navigating the online interactive map, details regarding the available map tools as well as discussion on advanced features and concepts of Geographic Information Systems.
The following enhancements to the new version 3.0.3 were implemented:
1) Migrated from Internet Mapping Framework version 4 to 5 (supports Internet Explorer 7)
2) Many themes can now be user styled with a styling tool (e.g. user can set the outline colour, line type and fill colour/transparency of a primary parcel, etc.)
3) Attribute tool to query for a parcel using short, long description, plan number and PIN/SID and a user can search the Integrated Cadastral Fabric by PID number
4) Powerful query builder tool to allow custom user defined queries (e.g. specifically search for a subdivision parcel of a primary parcel within a certain District, etc). Search result displays in query results window and allows user to zoom to highlighted feature
5) MASCOT monument query has a link to the monument description and diagram and direct link to MASCOT website
6) The top menu bar has a drop-down list that will display ISA listings in read-only Adobe Acrobat PDF format
7) Municipal and Regional District themes added
8) User is able to save sessions
9) Road names added
10) Upload shape file tool added
