Re: Computer Driven Plotters and Copiers
Commencing in the early 1990s, the Surveyor General’s office has, at the request of land surveyors, tested a number of different plotters and copiers. The make and model of machines that were found to be acceptable were published in previous Circular Letter Nos. 382, 386 and 392.
Since the publication of Circular Letter No. 392 in 1995, several more plotters were tested and found to be acceptable. The following list is a summary of all the makes and models of plotters and copiers that were tested and found to be acceptable by this office.

Although we strongly encourage the use of electronic survey plan functionality, we realize that in some situations land surveyors may have to produce a physical plan for filing or deposit into a registry.
As uptake of electronic survey plan functionality continues to increase, we anticipate that this will be the final listing of plotters and printers tested and accepted by our office.
