Regarding Surveyor General Branch fees for Well Site plans prepared pursuant to section 15(8) of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act Drilling and Production Regulation.
Please be aware that effective September 1, 2002 the $200.00 Surveyor General Branch fee which had been charged for each Well Site plan in accordance with section 15(9) of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, Drilling and Production Regulation, was eliminated.
Notification of this fee elimination was provided in Oil & Gas Commission Information Letter #OGC 02-06. A link to this Information Letter is provided below.

Please ensure that your financial staff are aware of the elimination of this fee as the Surveyor General Branch has received Well Site plan examination fees from a few land surveyors over the past months.
