Surveyor General Division Services

The LTSA's Surveyor General Division frequently interacts with land surveyors through its various lines of business. Here are some helpful links to provide you with more information on our services:

Survey Plan Preparation and Submission

  • Circular Letters: Circular Letters are a formal method of providing information and clarification on Surveyor General Division policy and procedures. Circular Letters also announce major business change requirements.
  • Dialogs: Dialogs contain further information and clarification on Surveyor General Division policy and procedures. They are published informally, on an as-needed basis.
  • General Survey Instruction Rules: General Survey Instruction Rules are the detailed survey standards that land surveyors must follow when conducting land surveys and preparing legal survey plans. Survey Instruction Rules are maintained by the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors.
