LTSA Kamloops Office Moving January 2022

For more than a century, the Land Title Office has been a presence in Kamloops, beginning at the Old Courthouse in the early 1900s and moving to the current Kamloops Courthouse in the mid-1980s. Since 2005, when the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) was established, the office remained at the courthouse location until late January 2022 when an upcoming move into a new downtown office will occur.

LTSA’s Kamloops-based Customer Operations Manager and Assistant Deputy Registrar Lindsay Bealle says the move is exciting but bittersweet. “I’ve been working from this location for more than twenty years, first as a registry agent and now with LTSA.  Although it is the end of one chapter, it also signals  the start of a new one,” says Lindsay. “I’ve appreciated getting to know the other workers at the courthouse, like the Sheriffs who work to keep us safe. However, I’m also looking forward to our new centrally-located and modern space, where our customers will appreciate its convenient location, easy access to parking and proximity to other shops and services.”

The move to a new location in the city underscores LTSA’s commitment to maintaining an ongoing presence in Kamloops. “Kamloops residents know they can source important information about their property from LTSA, such as a copy of a survey plan or to update property details such as a change of name,” says Lindsay. “It’s an important resource for many residents of Interior BC, with some  customers driving in from as far as the Kootenays or the Cariboo to visit our office.”

LTSA is a publicly accountable, statutory corporation responsible for operating the land title and survey systems of BC, processing over five million online business transactions each year. LTSA delivers secure land titles through timely and efficient registration of land title interests and survey records, providing the foundation for all real property business and ownership in the province. In addition, LTSA is continuing to develop innovative online products to continuously improve its customers’ experience through our wholly-owned subsidiary LandSure Systems Ltd.

LTSA’s Kamloops office is open by appointment for customers to visit in-person for land title transactions. Customers are invited to call Customer Service Centre by phone at 1-877-577-LTSA (5872) to book an appointment.

Open 24/7, LTSA’s offers online and digital services, providing access to customers regardless of geographic location. Scan on Demand is also available online for customers who are interested in retrieving digitized historic records from the LTSA archives.

Scheduled for January 24, 2022, the new LTSA Kamloops office will be located at:
