The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) has appointed Cristin Schlossberger as Surveyor General effective April 1, 2019. Cristin assumes the role from Mike Thomson who is retiring at the end of this month.

As Surveyor General, Cristin will be responsible for overseeing the province’s land survey systems and maintaining the quality and integrity of those systems. The Surveyor General represents the LTSA in the land surveying stakeholder community and collaborates with other statutory roles—such as Director of Land Titles, and Registrar of Land Titles—to establish the policy framework underlying the work at the LTSA.

Cristin has been a commissioned BC land surveyor for over 10 years and joined the LTSA in 2009. She is the first woman ever to be appointed Surveyor General in British Columbia.
