      All current titles from 1990 onward and most documents and plans are stored online and are available electronically via the LTSA’s Search Services access via myLTSA Enterprise. Land title records before the 1990s are stored in microfilm or in paper.

      The Land Title Act authorizes the Director of Land Titles to approve forms used by applicants when making applications under the Act. Web Filing Form Practice Guides offer comprehensive practice information for completing land title Web Filing forms. Directions for Completing EFS Forms contains detailed instructions for the few remaining PDF forms.
    • Land Title Practice Bulletins and Notes

      The Director of Land Titles periodically issues land title practice bulletins that provide practice direction on land title registration procedures and requirements, as well as land title practice notes that provide instruction and advice relating to land title records, forms and procedures.
    • Quality Verification Program

      The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) has introduced a Quality Verification program with lawyers and notaries to ensure electronic filing subscriber compliance with Part 10.1 of the Land Title Act. Compliance with the Act is critical to maintaining the integrity of BC's land title system.
    • Alberta-British Columbia Boundary Commission

      The current Boundary Commission has been active since the early 1980’s and is comprised of the Surveyor General of Canada Lands, the Director of Surveys of Alberta, and the Surveyor General of British Columbia. The Boundary Commission has developed a 30-year Boundary Maintenance Plan that systematically inspects and restores Alberta – British Columbia boundary monumentation for all those parts of the boundary that have been surveyed.

      The Integrated Survey Area Program establishes an infrastructure of coordinate control monuments within developing areas. The network of coordinate control monuments provides a standard vertical and horizontal reference system that supports mapping, engineering, surveying and other works.
